Race Report
by Brett Cleaver

BrettBrett solely representing BVF.

10th in the 4/5 Under 35 Race.

14 mile loop 3x plus a 1.5 finishing climb.  75 or so starters.

First loop was slow and borderline dangerous due to the braking, etc. We shed part of the group half way through lap one on some of the bigger climbs.  Next two laps got safer/faster due to natural selection. We just kept dropping people until we whittled it down to about 30-35 going into the final climb. I marked a few riders that I knew could climb well and basically went up the hill nice and steady, passing pepple the whole way. I finally made it up to Chris (he was in the top 5-10 going into the climb) and passed him only to have him pass me right after the 200m to go mark.

Great race, two thumbs up.
