Race
Report
Yes, it's true – Chris took 12th in Saturday's Road Race, finishing atop Wachusett Mountain. And at the end of Sunday's criterium, he held 19th overall in the General Classification. Chris now has stage race fever, and continually discussed building a time-trial bike. However, we're impresed by his Canibal-style, Eddy Merckx, no aero equipment Time Trial, and still finishing top-20. Scott podiumed in the points competition, picking up enough in Sunday's Criterium to take 3rd overall. Adam's stunning lead-out on the final points lap gave Scott the edge to win the lap (spoils: points and a Pedro's multitool). Adam hung in for 2nd on that same lap, denying the those remaining points to anyone else trying to edge onto the podium. As always, "Attacking Andrew" showed classic form throughout the 4 days. When things get slow, off he goes! The new Bridge Design for the team kit was well-received by the team and other racers (we heard several positive comments). And the new SRAM group was taken for a test ride - very nice! All told, an excellent 4-day campaign for BVF! |
